Hoarding cards fix?
So I’ve been playing with a group of my friends and I’ve been noticing that one or two of the people in the group have been doing this. I call it hoarding but maybe there’s another word for it. Here’s an example.
I’m fighting a monster and winning. I say “I’m winning this fight does anyone want to stop me?” Everyone looks at each other and “Mark” asks the other three people if they can do anything (friendship potion, out to lunch, etc.) meanwhile he has the means to end the combat himself. While “Jeff” sits back holding an annihalation card. I call out Jeff for not using the card I know he has because he’s waiting for mark to get everyone else to use their cards. My issue is that there are players who have cards to play but they purposely incite others to play their cards first so mark and Jeff can keep their own cards for later. Is there any type of rule I can set aside to keep this from happening? |

Re: Hoarding cards fix?
There's no rule, other than the "reasonable time" guideline. If you're trying to get other people to use their cards to prevent someone from winning and those people won't play their cards, sometimes the right strategy is to say, "OK, well, you've had enough time to play cards, so Sam wins this fight."
The consequence of people being unwilling to use their cards to stop someone from winning a combat is that the person wins the combat. If they really don't want that to happen, they need to step up.
