[New Release] GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2: Icky Goo
Greetings, GURPSkateers!
I'm trying to think of something clever here, but I don't think I can top "new GURPS Dungeon Fantasy monster book from Sean Punch"! So, without pompous puffery, we proudly present GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2: Icky Goo, a collection of several different types of yuckiness -- with lots of options and variations. The heroes will never hear "squish" again without shuddering. Just this once, you'll want to pick up Icky Goo -- so get it today, from Warehouse 23! |

Re: [New Release] GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2: Icky Goo
I really liked this book and it will be very useful too. I really like monster books that focus on one type of monster and then give lots of ideas for them like this book does. I hope there will be more books like this one. Undead, vampires, demons, Elder Things, ghosts, spirits and faerie would be great. A GURPS version of Ravdnlofts Von Richten's guides for monsters types.

Re: [New Release] GURPS Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2: Icky Goo
Had to pick this one up. WOOT.
Players always like these kinds of things. GM: "Hey, it doesn't bleed. I guess you can't kill it. Mwa Ha Ha" EDIT: I was reading through the Jelly section thinking what fun to have a few of these drop in on the PCs, then I got through the Absorptive Jellies. There was nothing but maniacal laughing with a "I shall own them" followed by more maniacal laughing.* I liked this quite a bit. It was organized well. They are quite dangerous and would not want to use a bunch of them, but they would add a nice touch of spice to the occasional quest. * I do not really go around killing off my players. Or do I...

It's a good book if the subject matter doesn't trigger your Squeamish disadvantage. Basically the only let-down is the art. The writing is ingenious. It starts off with a dwarven limerick and ends with a bona fide sonnet.
I wrote a more involved review for my new blog. |

An excellent book, but I find the lack of goo girls in it a bit disappointing :)

I posted a totally unbiased review on my blog. Short version - this is a good and useful book, cheap at the price.
