I really dont think its any of those but those are my best guesses.

Just for the record I can eliminate everything but New Sun. I have all the others and there's no similarity except in level of weirdness with Planet of Adventure. It's relatively likely that Vance was influential on Moorcock particularly in atmosphere.

For New Sun I'd have to rely on memories of the playtest and mostly what I remember is "Nothing here for me".

My only coonnection to Hawkmoon is reading the books 40 years ago but I do remember the masks.
