Default Unity PC version

title suggests it all

Is anyone else thinking of mucking about with an online, 2 players in a fight (but otherwise MMORPG) version of TFT?

would be quite a bit of time to do, but hardly compared to what passes for truly ambitious Unity projects

Seeing that Battletech has a Unity game I could see it.

I've played a few online games already through tabletop simulator, but that isn't exactly automated.

It's sort of a physics simulator that happens to be a virtual table with dice tokens and whatnot on it. It is on steam, pretty good for online play.

I've been gradually working on such a thing as part of developing my hex map libraries for various game projects... not just for TFT, though that's a natural starting place for me.

I'm currently using it to track map positions for the PBP TFT game I've running on the TFT Discord server.

Naturally, I wouldn't.

The above link is just to a screenshot of me using a program I wrote and am running on my own computer to track map & counter positions for playing TFT and show players the map.

hey Id never dare unless some SJG guy had given a go ahead .. wouldnt do to go against the wishes of the copyright owners, after all, they could just take your game off you anyhoo .. so youd have built SJG a free computer game they wouldnt hafta credit you for! lol

no any experiments I do will be private until I theoretically had a version worth pitching at SJG themselves .. just wondering if anyone else had wondered the same thing

Im a big Fallout fan and am well aware that it started as a GURPS game before good ol feature creep mutated it out of all recognisable shape .. but when I play F1+2 I can still feel their ancient TFT genes (I think of GURPS as a descendant of TFT), and morn what worked out differently in some other timeline .. naturally I experiment and wonder
