Default Sacrificial dodge

Sacrificial dodge didn't make it into DFRPG.

Any thoughts on why? (Other than space)

Or if its absence is regrettable

I think it’s not any profession’s shtick the way Sarifical Parry and Sacrifial Block are.

I certainly don’t regret its absence more than Telegraphic Attack or Committed Attack, or raising defaults or various CC-mitigating options.

Just include it if you feel so! ;) I see no reason why it should produce a problem, just let it be an optional choice for everyone.

Certainly many small things had to be left out, which are not "must have" but more "addon" stuff, to avoid making it complicated and to limit the content to the given pages.

Agreed. And as someone who has introduced DFRPG to a lot of new players this year, I think it's as full as it can be without being overwhelming. As it stands, combat is still quite complicated for a beginner. Once a group feels confident with the basic system, they can start to add additional layers, but I'm glad that the boxed set isn't cluttered with advanced options.

Those weren't in Basic Set

I'm not sure that very much from Martial Arts made it in.
