Curse! Lose Two Cards
I ran across an issue that I am not certain what the correct outcome should have been.
We were playing with five players. The "Curse! Lose Two Cards" came up when kicking down the door. The player to the left was not there and the player to the right was not there. They were gone to get a drink. So how to resolve this. 1) The curse has no affect. Just like lose your head gear and you are not wearing any head gear. 2) The option to draw a card continues on around to the next two players who are still at the table. 3) Wait until the two players return and then they each draw their cards. I am leaning towards option 1, but 2 could be considered fair. I want to play the game correctly so that is why I am asking. |

There is no official answer. Do whatever you think is best.

Re: Curse! Lose Two Cards
Were it my game, option 3 is the only answer.

Re: Curse! Lose Two Cards
I can understand that this would never happen in a tournament. No one is going to leave the table during the tournament so I fully understand why there is no official answer.
In my group, especially after Thanksgiving dinner, people are leaving the table for various reasons. It has become quite common for someone to kick down the door, find a monster, count to 2.6, and collect the treasure when you step away from the table. However, this time when the trap came up they felt it was different. They forced option 3, but I was leaning towards option 1 because I considered it being very similar to fighting a monster when other players weren't at the table. If I knew how I would like to create a poll and see what the community thought. |
