[Powers] Insubstantiality + DR with Affects Substantial
Is Affects Substantial legit with DR and Insubstantiality?
I'm asking more or less hypothetically; not sure I'd ever allow this for a PC outside of a Supers game to allow some kind of simulated partial invulnerability. But it occurred to me that if this was allowed, it'd let an insubstantial being do things like making Sacrificial Dodges at no real risk to itself, because the DR would get in the way of the substantial attack, but anything that got past the DR would just pass through it.

Re: [Powers] Insubstantiality + DR with Affects Substantial
Aren't you paying an additional +100% to have your insubstantial affect substantial? Not to mention paying the cost of DR that's not as useful to you as the point cost would imply.
I'd rather go with something that lets me share my insubstantial, like Affects Others (+50%), Area Effect (2 yards) (+50%) and Selective Area (+20%). You'd be paying an extra +20%, but you don't have to pay for any DR. |

Re: [Powers] Insubstantiality + DR with Affects Substantial
+100% affects Substantial on your Insubstantially
+ Affects Substantial on your Innate Attack would be required for an ethereal creature able to conjure force Walls, as far as I can tell. But the net result would be Walls with DR you can throw in between attacks and targets...

It'd have to be both on the Insubstantially and the ability, right?
