Even with field hockey sticks, the heel+toe part can be referred to as any of the blade, the head, or the foot.

Edit: This terminology applies to both field and ice hockey sticks.

I was thinking of the traditional ice-hockeystick and yes by "deisgned as a weapon" I meant the 'blade' being exchanged or lined with sharp metal.

Thanks for the responses, I agree that the duelling bill is the best fit, but with thr+2 cut instead of thrust impaling.

I wonder why? Hockey sticks are really super light weight.
Because that post was in humor. :) At least where I live, there are plenty of ice hockey fans who think the game has become too rough and who make a big deal out of the injuries . . . and plenty of other fans who poke fun at the first lot with sarcastic agreement.

Ah. I kept forgetting your humour is based in the Great Frozen North.

Any suggests for a 'serious' style hockey stick stats?

to go sideways a bit, a shinty/hurling/bando stick--unmodified--has been known to open a wound.

Also: IIRC there's a metal-bladed ice-hockey stick in Running Man.

MA has wooden equivalents of existing metal weapons: cr damage only, 1/2 wt.

Crushing weapons have always been able to cause bleeding. I think gamers persistent delusion about this dates all the way back to the excuse for D&D cleric weapon choices and the story of about Archbishop Turpin not wanting to shed blood, though in the actual Song of Roland he seems fine with using a lance and cleaving shields in twain.

Doesn't the blame usually fall on Odo of Bayeux?

Ayup. him and his personal (not church) oath to never shed blood. The picture of him in war shows him with a mace but the bishop next to him with a sword.

The back of a shinty stick or a hurley stick is narrow enough to be equivalent to being hit by the corner of a block of wood, easily concentrated enough to open a bleeding wound. Yes, it won't be cutting damage, but I didn't claim that. :)
