Loaded Die
When playing the game with a few people, we ran into a problem with the Loaded Die. After successfully fleeing from a combat, somebody played the card "Loaded Die," picked up the die (which had landed on a 6) and placed it back down in the same position. After he said that he was done, I noted that he hadn't really done anything, seeing as he'd placed the die back in the "6" position, and that I still successfully ran away from the combat. He said that he didn't mean to do so, and that I was just making things up.
The literal rules of the card are: "Turn the die so the number of your choice is on top." He had done that already, and so I argued that I still fled from the monster. I know that it's a little anal and devious, but hey, isn't that what the whole game is all about? Finding loopholes and taking advantage of them? Anyways, I'd like to have a few other opinions on the matter. Thanks! -Mandrew |

Re: Loaded Die
I agree with you. The text on the card is clear.
Edit: Except that you can't play Loaded Die on someone else's roll, so it's an illegal play to start with.

Re: Loaded Die
Am I to understand that somebody else played Loaded Die to change one of YOUR die rolls? Because I'm pretty sure that's not kosher right there, even aside from the consideration of whether they made a mistake on what number they put facing up. Loaded Die is used to change you OWN die rolls.
EDIT: Andrew is faster with the edit than I am with a post. :-) |

Re: Loaded Die
Isn't it reloaded die the one that would allow you to mess with someone else s die roll?
I'd look at my cards, but I didn't bring them to the office today |
