Re-releasing "Unique" Cards?
Hello,
A long time back in the depths of the forums, there was a statement that the rights to the artwork for certain cards made available only in non-English releases (and as promos) were owned by SJG and that rewriting the text was underway. That was in 2011. I'm just curious if any plans to make these in English would be considered? I'd buy them! Anyway, here is the original thread I found: http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=79358 There's enough of these "unique" cards to easily make a mini-expansion or even a regular one. |

We're not planning anything like this. At this point, we've used the art and/or cards that we plan to use.

Certainly is not my decision to make, but alright. Thanks. Understandable if a little sad to think many may never even see the artwork.

Re: Re-releasing "Unique" Cards?
While true that most English promo cards are not translated into another language, the artwork is still mostly viewable from the website -- http://www.worldofmunchkin.com/cards/
The reverse is not normally true, and that's fine. Some of these "unique" cards (in fact most) are from a core set or expansion and not considered "promos." Anyway, I was curious. Still have several of the German ones to hunt down and a ton of Polish. |
