Simple Alchemy
A list of potions and poisons for those looking for a simpler alchemical game. These are designed for use in a setting where magic is common but simple and magical elixirs act in a way more akin to mystic herbs and less like a replacement for high magic spells. It also focuses on alchemists countering one another -- poisons are dangerous but can be dealt with. I hope you find the list useful and inspiring!

Edit: Which you've not seen and I'm not implying anything - it's just cool that there is some parallel evolution going on here.

Vasic Stones: Transportation
This is the second article on Vasic Stones magic. Its devoted completely to explaining how the transportation part works. Its designed for both traveling around a world and for hopping dimensions. Even more Vasic Stones magic is on its way ... as well as a world that uses it. I hope you find this useful, and if not useful, then at least interesting.

Vasic Stones: Combative Transportation
The second half of the transportation stones, this article deals with how vasic navigators can effect each other in the void. Its designed for campaigns that feature heavy use of Vasic Stone Transportation. I hope you enjoy the series!

Invasion of the Hawfax: Hawfax City
Today we explore the capital, where most of the Hawfax live. Its an exotic city where arboreal alien and humans interact -- sometimes high in the trees, sometimes on the ground. Its useful not only in the setting, but as a sketch of how high tech arboreal aliens would interact with humans. I hope you enjoy it. More on the Hawfax is coming!

Re: Blog: Worlds Beyond Earth
costs ER as a cost reduction is back up. I've decided against trying to get it into pyramid, at least until I'm a much better writer.

Re: Blog: Worlds Beyond Earth
C31R07 (AKA the Killbot Turned Budhist) as a Pilot rather than a War Machine
C31R07 is one of my favorite of the iconic characters. His personality is unexpected, his story is fun, his character engaging, and his point cost prohibitive. I've set out to take C31 out of the 'godlike' point range and into the 'Legendary' point range to sit with his fellow iconic characters. We consider what the meaning of gear is, and end up with a character that still has everything but is actually worth the points you pay. I hope you find this entertaining and I hope it opens up new doors for you. And if anyone uses this to actually play C31R07, let me know!

Anchored Illusions as a Power
Illusion is a powerful and versatile art, and well adapted to adventurers because it requires lots of plans. This explores a particular type of illusion and describes it as a power. I hope you enjoy it and find it inspiring!
