Default Extra Arm Questions...

Extra Arm
7' long (2 hexes)
Inconvinient postion (special clothes and seats etc)
No digits and poor grip/dx
Constriction Attack
Flexible
Arm ST+12

Now the last bit is based on say a ST10 = Arm ST22 that gives a BL of 96lb and a BLx2 193lb one handed only.

However, at 3pts per ST and only able to use it up to BLx2 methinks is there a cheaper ST upgrade?

Just lifting ST for one arm... have I missed this somewhere?

I don't think it's mentioned specifically. But since lifting strength is 3/10 of full strength, I don't see any reason why you couldn't purchase one arm lifting strength for 0.9 points.
Unless there's some issue I can't see.

Also, I can't resist, sorry.

Is that a giant flexible limb in your pants, or are you just glad to see me?

It's certainly longer than a baby's arm.

Hung like a giant squid?

I should probably stop before I get warned by mods.

I don't believe you've missed anything.

ST +1 is [10] and Arm ST +1 (One Arm) is [3], meaning that ST +1 (One Arm Only, -70%) is [3]. Thereby: Lifting ST +1 (One Arm Only, -70%) should cost [0.9]. GM willing, of course.

That would be logical... may due it because it cannot recieve the full benefit of lifting, unless that is what is written into one arm ST anyway.

Another way would be to view a one armed character to lifting ST, would that be 1 point per level because it cannot be utilised over BLx2?

Actual quote. Not regarding an actual person (ah, artistic license...). I still nearly choked on my coffee).

One Arm ST isn't "Lifting ST, one arm", it's lifting, striking, grappling, whatever ST. I also apply it to crippling limits for arms - ie you treat your HP as being 1 higher as well for determining when the arm is crippled or severed. Which means yes, it can only be applied to tasks that take one arm, such as the one-handed lifts limits.

Since One Arm ST is 3 points to regular ST's 10, it's reasonable to say it's like a -70% limitation, and lifting ST being 3 points each, -70%, is 0.9, which yes, rounds up to 1 CP each.
