Terminology for things like Really Impressive Title
So because the title does not have a value, it is technically not an item, correct? Even though it is on the table along with the rest of your items. Is there an official term for cards that exist in that state? Besides "not items" that is :)
This came up during a game where I got Bad Stuff'd (or was it cursed?) to lose the item that gave me the biggest bonus and even though technically the Title isn't an item, it was argued that it gave me my best bonus and thus should be discarded. |

If it has a value printed on the card (even "no value") then it is an item.

Re: Terminology for things like Really Impressive Title
Yes but the errata states that the title (which in my deck has "No Value") will be losing that tag completely, thus rendering it no longer an item.

Yes, but Really Impressive Title has been errata'd. It is NOT an Item. What it is, is a free-floating bonus that doesn't have a more specific name.

Re: Terminology for things like Really Impressive Title
So if something says "lose the item that gives you the biggest bonus" the Title wouldn't count, correct?

Re: Terminology for things like Really Impressive Title
Exactly right. Really Impressive Title (and Theme Music, and a few other cards) aren't Items.

It is a non-Item, non-special Treasure card. See also the thread "Item Definition" for examples of other, similar, cards. Last edited by Kirt; 03-26-2010 at 09:51 PM. |

Re: Terminology for things like Really Impressive Title
Please clarify. The Really Impressive Title is not an item. So it can't be thieved and you don't lose it when you die. Correct? Is there any way a person can lose the Really Impressive Title?

Re: Terminology for things like Really Impressive Title
You can lose it when you die. It not being an Item doesn't mean you don't lose it when you die.
