Lucky Talisman vs Tinfoil Hat
Our party had a disagreement regarding the use of a Lucky Talisman to pass the effect of a curse to a player wearing a Tinfoil Hat.
Player X kicked down a door and was hit with a curse (Change Class) from said door. Player X wanted to use a Lucky Talisman to pass the effect of the curse to Player Y. Player Y believed that their equipped Tinfoil Hat would make them immune from the curse reasoning that X was casting the curse onto them. Player X disagreed saying that, since the curse was from Kicking Open a Door and not cast by another player, the Tinfoil Hat does not apply. Thoughts? |

Re: Lucky Talisman vs Tinfoil Hat
The Lucky Talisman is not a player "casting" a Curse; it just allows a Curse to affect a player next to you rather than you, yourself. The source of that Curse is unchanged.

Re: Lucky Talisman vs Tinfoil Hat
So then, since the curse was not originally cast by another player, the Tinfoil Hat would not protect player Y from the effect of the curse that was passed on through the Lucky Talisman. Correct?

Re: Lucky Talisman vs Tinfoil Hat
Yeah. The source is still Kicking Down the Door, it's just as if the player wearing the hat had Kicked instead.
