Even better is the founder of Singularism in Toxic Memes, who applied to be recognised as a religion out of sarcasm.

Does anyone think there might be religions founded on paradox? In The Book of the New Sun Thecla says she'll found a religion by saying an Angle told her there was no Afterlife.

The possiblities for founding a Zen influenced religion of Paradox in the THS setting seems strong.

Reactions?

Severian says it's a contradiction when she considers making it a ghost who reveals there is no afterlife. An angel wouldn't necessarily be connected to the afterlife.

Angel then, you've already figured out I can't spell. Why prove you can't be humane?

Good point. Still a religion based on Paradox would fit THS fairly well.

Back to the origional point of the thread. In the 20th century (from about 1930 onward) LA has been the major Occult center for Western Civilazation. I'm told that the town at the foot of Mount Olympus is the New Center for Europe. New Orleans attracts plenty of nutcases fixated on VooDoo. Where are the centers of the Occult and New Agey-ness in THS!

Has Bollywood taken over Hollywood's niche? Are there major Wiccan sites on the Moon? Has anyone off planet had a vision of Mary? Enquiring minds want to know!

Cydonia, where the Mars Face and some pyramids are, probably.

(I ran a game where the Pyramids of Mars really were built by ancient astronauts, but when asked about the Face, the one in charge of the pyramids said his ancestors had found records of five previous civilizations, each claiming it had been built by some previous culture.

The face of Jesus discovered in fractal math patterns.

Can your ghost be possessed by your real ghost?

I suspect Glastonbury can give it a run for its money; New Age weirdness is a significant industry there.

If there are, I suspect that they are within Lunar City, on the stranger parts of the living city. I don't think people would claim Wiccan importance for somewhere nobody had ever lived (and Wiccans of my experience are not believers in UFOs) although other belief systems might get interested in the odd spots of the moon that give an impression of design.

Undoubtedly. Hopefully she'll have told them to take good care of their life support.
