Apps/bots for Discord based RPG?
With the current situation, there are a lot of people (for example, me) getting into online RPG play for the first time. Personally, I don't think I really want the overhead of setting up and learning a full blown virtual tabletop, since I'm planning on running Fate which is tactically rather loose - you aren't a set number of hexes from someone, just in the same area or not. I've got a good dice roller in the form of Rolisteam. What I'm looking for is some other lightweight items for:
...running in or alongside Discord.

I really like google docs for character sheets. Its also a good place to keep track of money, gear, and public information. I suspect fate points would be well tracked there.

There is a guy on Discord working on a Traveller-specific bot. PM me for a link.

Well, the short answer is you can set up additional chats in your discord to house individual things. My discord has a chat for Character Sheets, one for Pictures, one for Maps and one for Dice (using Dice Parser). I also have a music channel where the GMs can control Groovybot to control the music (the music only plays to the primary voice channel).
I also added a Backup Voice Channel, as I may be hosting TSHiggins' Facets game, and he may want to use the music bot while we need voice access for other things and don't want to step on/interrupt his game. |

I've used pseudobot for a few discord based games before.
A virtual whiteboard can be helpful. The Gurps discord might be worth checking out.

Having had to use Discord's streaming to explain time dilation to my sister, I can say that it was pretty easy to use it to stream MSPaint. It wouldn't be too hard to stream any VTT, if you've got two or three monitors.
