Running Away
Quick question about running away. I know if you lose or tie the battle you automatically take a hit and then attempt to run away. Now if you know stright from the begining that you have no chance of winning, and run stright away, do you still lose a hit point if you miss the bad stuff or does that happen only if you engage the monster.
Thanks |

Re: Running Away
The manual doesn't cover running away before combat, so assume it is not allowed. You can only run-away after losing in a combat. There are some DxM/Treasure cards that let you escape before combat though - in this situation, you would not lose a hit point.

Re: Running Away
You're in the combat no matter what, you don't get a choice to start it (unless something specifically says so of course).

Re: Running Away
This is a common misconception. You still have a fight in the card game, it only feels like you can run away before the fight because there's no penalty for losing.
We just added a damage point for losing to the process.
