Default Wizard and Bane Rings

Ok, the d10 wizard ability allows the user to double the bonus from a magic weapon. Can this ability be used to double bonus from the extra die granted by the bane ring cards, which are magic?

Also, would a curse that makes a player get rid of the item with the biggest bonus take away the bane ring if, say, the same player had a +4 item?

Extra "Dice" are not "Bonuses", so no, to both questions.

Note that the Combat Results formula on p. 9 lists Dice and Bonuses separately.
