Come and write something for The Path of Cunning first. I'm not entirely joking* – obviously we have no official status (and we don't pay you), but we use something quite like the old Pyramid editorial process (which I went through several times as an article author), and if you haven't written for someone else's publication before that might be a way to get a feel for it.
