That is really neat...and will probably inspire my 2020 build.

Bringing with me today is updates. The passes for color in the play area are done and cured, but only a little over half [and none of the retaining wall] fits on my table...

The Harlequin effect between the two shades of gray wasn't intentional...the paint came from two different batches, and had vastly different color compositions. If I want to be more obvious about it, the back of the 'no obstacle' pieces are the same silver that the outer walls will be getting.

One of the first things I checked: Yes, oil slicks will be fine. It looks a bit darker here because the lighting in the dining room sucks, but with adequate lighting matte black plastic shows up just fine.

I do need to touch up where I was too aggressive with masking, get the wall cut, and get the wall painted...but we're gonna make it. She'll be ready for her debut on the 12th.
