Realistic bow hunting is going to rely on hitting the Vitals (which should get more of a damage bonus from Imp than Pi) and Bleeding - lots and lots of bleeding. 3 damage to the Vitals is at least 9 injury (again, should be more), which is going to be a Major Wound for anything less than 700 lb or so (meaning the vast majority of things hunted with bows). That's a roll at -5 against knockdown/stunning, with Bleeding rolls at -6 every 30 seconds. Chances are pretty good that deer's dead.

And, of course, plenty of hunting animals will be 166 lb or lower (threshold for ST 11), where it is a major wound. Those ones won't be SM+1, though.

There are multiple types of arrows, arrows who do pi damage should be better against armor(higher base damage), while arrows who do imp damage should be better against flesh(higher multiplier).
