But he went with a... Taurus. They have a reputation as being, well, of rather poor craftsmanship. Of course, that's not represented in the GURPS stats, which are, perhaps, overly generous.

I didn't know what a Taurus 608 or a S&W 627 was before last night. :)

Hello all, I will be joining in this one with the character Richard Martinez, disgraced detective. He was off to a promising start as a rising star in the NYPD, when he unfortunately got onto a scent that led to someone high up in the department. When he refused to be dissuaded from probing further, that someone proceeded to destroy his reputation and career. He is now unemployed and drifting in the very underworld he used to investigate. I'm guessing that he could be an old friend of Vincent before they left for different paths in life, and is soon to run into and bum a place to stay off of his Charitable friend, which will get him into the adventure. Mechanically, he is designed to provide the sneak to Vincent's swagger and Richard's quick wit. Right now all he is missing is equipment and some quirks, which I will finalize as we go forward. In particular, if anyone has suggestions as to small items he could have hidden on his person: he doesn't have Gizmos but I'd like to simulate that with an effective Holdout skill of 18 and foresight.
