Actual headline seen yesterday in a local paper:

"Knights Templar leader killed in Mexico -- again"

This of course actually refers to a drug cartel and a previous shootout where a body wasn't found. But wouldn't it be more interesting if it were the historical Templars and their undead leader mixed with Aztec survivors and their ancient rituals?

Newberry used to be host to a mental health facility for a reason...

Nah. A lot of that would be second nature to them. They are, after all, the inheritors of a culture started by the Rum Corps.

Who knows, if Dracula was still alive, maybe he would run a milk bar.

Also a good place to sit with your droogs while trying to make up your rassoodocks what do to with the evening. It can sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultraviolence.

On a less funny note, the Reds are capturing our war-dops.

The first time I read this, I thought one of us was having a stroke.

(I never read the book, or saw the movie, A Clockwork Orange.)

Harvard has three books bound in human flesh -- Roman poetry, French philosophy, and (perhaps most fittingly) medieval Spanish law. Apparently "anthropodermic bibliopegy" wasn't all that uncommon.
