If you're looking for a new The Fantasy Trip adventure and you missed the Kickstarter, visit the Red Crypt!

This solo adventure from the quill of David Pulver is now available in print – on demand – from Amazon, and as a PDF from Warehouse 23.

Dare you fulfill your bounty-hunting mission and track down your quarry to the ominous Red Crypt? (Yeah, you totally dare. Check it out!)

Both this and the Book of Unlife are really very good; must-buys for any TFT fan!

Another recommendation. I played it, not all the way through, and it's got lots of exceitment and spookiness.

I don't want to divert attention from 'Crypt' but the two are related, so I'd like to point out that one of the great things 'Unlife' does is to provide us with a kind of horror-movie monster manual that is all nuance and flavor without getting lost in the mechanistic weeds. In my mind, this was always one of the great strengths of early-edititon D+D; somehow they started with a system that had three meaningful monster stats (HD, AC, damage) and milked out of it several monster manuals that have remained core creative material for every fantasy roleplaying game you ever heard of. Ideas>>>stats, every time. This idea is central to TFT's traditional approach to its iconic monsters, but 'Unlife' definitely adds fresh substance of equal merit.

That's an insightful comment about early D&D before rules bloat turned it into a monster itself. (In fact, there is a free, 1 page set of rules for D&D (Searchers of the Unknown) which takes exactly that idea and applies it to characters. I look forward to reading book of unlife.
