I was very impressed with the artwork in MH2. Less so with MH1. Hopefully the progression continues with MH3 and we get truly awesome art in the PDF.

A full reboot book is unlikely; Black Ops wasn't quite popular enough to resurrect in full. However, the chance of seeing more Black Ops influence in a future MH book is reasonably high. (How much influence? Well, that remains to be seen.)
I think a reboot that's GURPS 4e and fully compatible with the MH series would sell very well. Many of the issues I have with Black Ops you've cited as things you addressed in writing the MH series. I'd really love to see Black Ops rebooted with a full MH treatment. Black Ops has some great material in it but makes some bad choices along the way that dials back on the fun of the setting.

MH3 is a little different than MH1+2, art-wise. It's a monster book, so it needed a lot of art. And art takes a long time to get, relative to other aspects of producing a book. So to avoid delays, there's more reused art (from Third Edition sourcebooks) than there was in MH1+2. For what it's worth, though, I personally picked out the best of the best for it. I've seen most of the art in place at this point, and it looks nice.

I get that. Look at it this way: If nothing else comes after MH4, Monster Hunters is a reboot-of-sorts for Black Ops. There's no reason you can't use the templates, rules, and monsters to run a Company-based game. I certainly had that in the back of my mind when writing the series.

To run a better Company game, you'd want some advice and rules for making the monsters and ops a little more scientific, less supernatural, and possibly extraterrestrial. That's something that a few people have clamored for, and if we do a MH5+, it's a supplement I'd like to do. That's not a promise, obviously, but it's the best you're going to get at this point when we haven't seen how the series as a whole is going to be received. :)
