If you don't want this 'insubstantials interact with each other' maybe Shadow Form is the answer? Or can shadow formers fight each other in the same way?

It basically is. A primordial entity that can't interact directly with the physical world, but that whispers in the ears of mortals and influences their decisions, so I feel it's appropriate.
