Re: [DF] Weekend Warrior - Quick Picks
This is really good. I think that when players make their characters they have a qualitative idea of what they want but quickly become bored with adding up character points. The more the rules fade into the background the better it is for games like DF because it is truly an escapist genre.

Re: [DF] Weekend Warrior - Quick Picks
This is an excellent idea and will definitely help with players who don't want to get into too much detail with character creation. "What's all this picking this and picking that? Just get me my damn barbarian already!"

Awesome idea. Really. Looking forward to what comes out of it, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I saw it on e23.

Re: [DF] Weekend Warrior - Quick Picks
Ok, I finished with the Knight skills.
I think that all of the permutations work, such as a School Trained Nobleman who's a Front Line Fighter with Unruly Thug as his background would probably have been a strong, tough guy who is formally trained at using a broadsword and used to city life, but likes to push people around. A weapon master who's a reckless adventurer and Former Military spent time learned his trade while on the road, but was a leader in an army where he suffered some injuries. Pretty much all of them work well enough to suggest a background. |

Sign me up as someone else who really likes this idea, and thinks you should get it in to SJG so it doesn't just disappear into the forum depths :)

Re: [DF] Weekend Warrior - Quick Picks
Pragmatic - I can't find things with Search that I know are here. Having it in e23 for a reasonable price where it can be found and is identified as for use with DF may very well offset any losses to people stumbling across this particular thread. Besides the OP probably isn't going to do all the write-ups on here.
I also think this is a neat idea and it reinforces my own thoughts that GURPS needs more quick start aids.

I'd also like to point out that the one I posted is mine. He's free to use it if he wants to (with a note for credit) but I suspect he'll want to do it himself.
