Considering how busy I got on Wednesday and Thursday preparing for this sudden long-distance trip, I had to prioritize what I could and could not answer. Your question is about how we should interpret the appearance of a single card, which, realistically, requires me to get out and search through several hundred cards to find the specific card you are asking about, while other questions required me to look over the development database, or the rules which are available online, all of which takes moments, that I had, not many minutes, or even hours, which I did not. On top of that, thread bumping and continually asking for an answer to your question is considered rude almost universally on any forum I've ever been involved with, so you should expect some correction when you stray from proper etiquette.
I meant no offense.

Please be civil; there's no need to bait the mods. All it will do is get this thread locked.

I believe my comments have been taken the wrong way, but I apologize nun the less. I will quietly await my answer and then be on my way.

If you have a female hireling and you are male and you try to fight the Amazon she will not fight you. It's the same as if you had a female player join in the fight with you so that the Amazon will not fight you.
If this question came up in one of my games, I would argue that if you can't tell what sex your hireling is, how would the Amazon know?

IMO, it would be entirely within the spirit of the game to argue that 1) the hireling is whatever gender the situation calls for, and (if that doesn't work) 2) the monster is unlikely to know (or care about) the difference between a male or female Gnome in any case, as (based on the image) there doesn't seem to be any.

Steve's art notes requested a male gnome, so that's what I'm going with.
