Submarine Crush Depth in #3-34
I'm working on a design concept of a "super-sub" for large sub-surface oceans in moons, and can't seem to make sense of the calculations of the Depth box on page 7 of Pyramid #3-24.
According to the box, the crush depth of my sub with dDR 60 and 1200 feet length is less than 8 feet. I looked up the stats on a LA-Class sub ("test" depth of 800 ft and 362 feet long), and working the formula backwards gives it a dDR of 1,931! Has there been errata on this, or am I applying the formula wrong? C |

By the way, on a more general note, I'd suggest taking this kind of question to the general GURPS forum, not the Pyramid forum. The Pyramid forum gets much less traffic, especially these days since Pyramid has closed down, so you're likely to get a much quicker response in the GURPS forum. |
