Got a nice big box of video case miniatures today. I'll post the pics to my Flickr later. But...who do I talk to about the parts missing from my Fast Convoy set? :D

Is that Randy Hoffa of C-in-C miniatures? I have a kiloton of C-in-C 1/285 minis. He does/did good work. Different look than GHQ but nice stuff nonetheless.

Yes, it's the same person.

I think I may have a problem. I just can't stop converting miniatures into unseen cybertanks! The latest project converts an old BattleTech Demolisher into a Chinese Dragon. The photo on my Flickr is a bit blurry, but that's from my damn shake. I'll get better pics when I finalize the conversion.

Why would you think of this as a "problem"? Kit-bashing is a time-honored tradition. My friend turned a Demolisher into a passable Ninja way back in the 90's. I'll try to dig up a photo...

I'd love to see it. The "Battledroids" Demolisher is a good base for Mark III-ish-sized Ogres. It's also still in production and available from Iron Wind Metal's* website, though it's gotten pricey.

* Ral Partha, in literally all but name. Thanks, FASA.

Finally found a photo. It's the metallic one. The others are re-purposed models for the MK I, Mk II, MK IV and (an early version) of a MK VI.

Note that it has a turret with a tower built over it. Kind of a kludge, but I really like the way he made it work. Also note that the kit-bashed MK VI might be that Ogre you were looking for an image of earlier. Pity it's a bad angle.

Interesting that your friend went the same route I did, turning the turret to face the rear of the original mini. I also have some of the weird minis he used for his Mk. I and II. I've always wondered who made those.

As for the Mark VI...that's the first Martian Metals sculpt of the Mk. V, like the one I just restored. It looks like he split it in half lengthwise and did some heavy resculpting from there. He also fixed the dreadful AP batteries. I like it.

Finally, regarding the pictures I needed of the 1980s SJ Games Mark V: I don't need them anymore. I've got one on the way, still in package. ;-)

The one on the far left looks like it's one of the Carnivoran war machines from the MAATAC* line of sci-fi minis.
