Re: OGRE Loot! Show Us Yours!
Got a nice big box of video case miniatures today. I'll post the pics to my Flickr later. But...who do I talk to about the parts missing from my Fast Convoy set? :D

Is that Randy Hoffa of C-in-C miniatures? I have a kiloton of C-in-C 1/285 minis. He does/did good work. Different look than GHQ but nice stuff nonetheless.

Re: OGRE Loot! Show Us Yours!
I think I may have a problem. I just can't stop converting miniatures into unseen cybertanks! The latest project converts an old BattleTech Demolisher into a Chinese Dragon. The photo on my Flickr is a bit blurry, but that's from my damn shake. I'll get better pics when I finalize the conversion.

Re: OGRE Loot! Show Us Yours!
Why would you think of this as a "problem"? Kit-bashing is a time-honored tradition. My friend turned a Demolisher into a passable Ninja way back in the 90's. I'll try to dig up a photo...

I'd love to see it. The "Battledroids" Demolisher is a good base for Mark III-ish-sized Ogres. It's also still in production and available from Iron Wind Metal's* website, though it's gotten pricey.

Re: OGRE Loot! Show Us Yours!
Interesting that your friend went the same route I did, turning the turret to face the rear of the original mini. I also have some of the weird minis he used for his Mk. I and II. I've always wondered who made those.
As for the Mark VI...that's the first Martian Metals sculpt of the Mk. V, like the one I just restored. It looks like he split it in half lengthwise and did some heavy resculpting from there. He also fixed the dreadful AP batteries. I like it. Finally, regarding the pictures I needed of the 1980s SJ Games Mark V: I don't need them anymore. I've got one on the way, still in package. ;-) Last edited by ColBosch; 01-29-2018 at 09:54 PM. |
