Default Weaving

Question.

There is no weaving skill and I would a character to have it. This is used in an elvish craft magic system I'm making based on weaving. There is a professional skill, but is this really needed? Does someone that wants to make a wicker basket need a professional skill? Does grandma in the cottage need a professional skill to make cloth?

A little help here.

Professional and Hobby skills are placeholders for a wide variety of skills.
Since Sewing is DX/E I would go the same for Weaving.

LTC3 gives Clothmaking/TL as DX/Average. Alternately, you could simple include it in Sewing, along with any other hand textile production tasks.

Sometimes missing craft skills are also specialties of Artist - there really probably should be a parallel Crafts cascade skill, and/or an open recognition the two are essentially alternate names of each other with a slightly different focus - and there may or may not be an Artist (tapestry weaving) specialty somewhere in print since it's one of the options for decorating items in various gear lists.

If it's meant to only be barely functional and not artistic, then Houskeeping of an appropriate TL should suffice.
