Also the hilarity of sleep walkers walking away from danger.
When exposed to pain, even if never awakening, people will move away, etc.
Unconscious will simply like there even if their head is in water.

Extended Duration (and other duration modifiers) is definitely allowed on Afflictions. The wording about Extended Duration only being allowed on attacks with those other modifiers is in reference to things that do injury - namely Innate Attacks - or other things like that. Basically, things that don't have any duration to begin with. You can use Extended Duration to modify the duration of something that already has a duration.
