Re: Kickstarter - Ogre Miniatures Set 1
The nice thing is that if the extra AP guns really bother you, they're finally easy to remove. Also, I have an evil plan...

Still stoked the minis are on their way though. I'll just pretend this is a different version Mark 5 or something...even though I shouldn't have to. ;)

(1) Word of designer: there was never supposed to be any particular correspondence between the AP blisters and the AP capacity of the Ogre - it was intended to be more like tread units.
(2) Yes, there will be 8 heavy tanks in the set. |

Can't get much more authoritative than that. :)
Thanks, Steve. |

It's just one of those geeky little obsession things that doesn't really matter. It just would have been nice and standardized to have them all 1 to 1 parity because the other weapon systems are that way...and it's only these two that do not...It's all good though, really. Thanks for clarifying this. I can't wait to start building these and kit-bashing the FanMade OGREs. Thanks for making these available. ...I wonder what ColBosch's evil plan may be?

Re: Kickstarter - Ogre Miniatures Set 1
My evil plan will be revealed once I have my big box of Ogre Miniatures in-hand. ;)
And Steve just posted BIG updates on the ODE and Miniatures Set 1 Kickstarters. Minis Set 2's CAD files are finished, and they'll Kickstart that project once Set 1 ships. The Kickstarter campaign may be combined with Battlefields, which will include maps G3 and S3, more counters (including a Ninja) and will have a stretch goal of more terrain overlays, mostly swamp and water. It'll also include a single-stop expanded rulebook, which is great news for both ODE and 6th Edition players. Finally, the videogame is progressing nicely and they're thinking an October release! |

The game looks amazing. Auroch used to post semi-regular updates here, hasn't been around much of late. I try to take that in the best of ways -- they're busy! Still wish there were non-Steam options though (none that I know of). |
