I'm no architect, but I think that could be a reasonable use of architecture/TL3

I would allow an architectural roll to get a +1 or +2 to the search roll to find the entrance to the secret room in this case. However since they have confirmed it's there they could just bash down the wall. :)

I once made a player roll against Architecture to use Shape Stone to drop the largest stone block possible out of the ceiling onto a troll by using the minimum amount of Shape Stone and without just collapsing the ceiling on everyone. He wanted to use shape stone to "scrape away one inch of stone from all sides around the big stone block I want to drop on the troll, and without killing everyone."

And he wanted to figure it out in one second :)

He also had Lightning Calculator and Civil Engineering and some Mathematics and some other relevant skills. I think I made him roll at -5 for doing it in one second, and noted that if he had intuitive mathematician he wouldn't have the speed penalty.

Personally, I make extensive use of GURPS According to Kromm. But I have it in an online searchable form that involves sending an e-mail.

Really very helpful the comments for the topic. Now I see I must train my mind to think more diverse in Gurps than I have done in the system with the M word.

Thanks a lot

For sure I will keep for now on in mind GM GM GM.
Don't worry about those detractors, as you saw some here like D&D too. And welcome to the forums most of the time you'll find helpful answers in a timely fashion. Especially if you are good at choosing the right subject lines.

Yes! Would love a feature here that sort of handled a macro button to answer certain questions :) Like we used to do with usenet

It's a six-year old thread. Why can't it stay buried in peace?!
