Default New player, some questions

Just started playing with the family and it's a very fun game but took a very long time to learn and still confused on some bits. If someone can clear up a few things, it'll be very much appreciated

1. can more than 1 person help the monster beat a player? Also they can only use cards that are in play and not their hand unless the card stated so right?

2. Lets say a player helps buff the monster, but it can still be defeated after the fighting player plays a card that helps him. Can other people continue to throw down cards to help the monster?

3.Divine Intervention. Do you lose the gained level if you lose your cleric race card during the game?

4. What items cannot be placed on the table?

1: Yes, more than one player can help the monster. They can use cards from their hand.
2: Yes, other people can still help the monster, if they do so within a reasonable time after you announce you can beat it.
3: If divine intervention is a level up card, then you keep the level up after you played it.
4: All items can be placed down, except extra big items.

Also don't forget, a really good ( or conniving) player, will be the one buffing the monster and then offer their help to the player in exchange for a much larger share of the treasure cards.
