Star Munchkin Transporter Twin - Do a Helper's Items Add to the Twin?

Part of the text of the Star Munchkin 2 Transporter Twin card: "Total up the bonuses of all Items that you are using. The Transporter Twin has the same bonus."

If you are helped by another player, do his/her bonuses also add to the Transporter Twin's bonus?

No. You're fighting your twin. The appearance of a helper doesn't add his twin as well, nor does that give your twin a copy of the helper's stuff. . .

Really? I'm surprised! How can we determine in the effects a monster has affect both munchkins or just 1? Because in most cases don't those effects apply to both munchkins. For example fight with your level only also means fight with your helpers level only as well, correct?
