I'd let other people "assist" by adding 1/5 their ST to the victims, as seems to be the standard for assisting people. Now, against a very strong binding, it might not help, but it's something. There are the above, more exotic ways of doing it, but this provides a simple, mundane way for unpowered folk to potentially get free of it.
