Default New Printer; who dis?

Whelp, I broke down and bought a new resin printer, in expectation of the Car Wars Kickstarter. So, I felt I should get a start on printing some cars (ignore the cat hair). Two of them came out really well, but one of them . . . wasn't quite designed to be 3d printed. I'll have to go do some modifications to the STL.

Guess we can't quite Catch a ri-ii-ii-ii-ii-de!

You might be able to solve a lot of the print problems with careful placement of supports.

Those are going to look good when you stick weapons and bits from CARnage all over them! Please, please post pictures.

Nope! I'm going to have to put a post to hold the front wheels on. They're held on by three "rods" each about 0.1mm thick. Not nearly tough enough. The supports are stronger than those rods (hence why they tore off).

Yep. I've had that "organic concept car" since 2016 and this is the first time I've been able to print it effectively. It came out really great.

Had to get some superglue to put some of these together (a couple of them broke because, well, I've only got a DX of 8, on a good day, but a ST of 13!).

I really want to Mad Max up that VAMP with the CARnage stuff!

Does anyone know how to remove superglue from . . . you know, never mind . . ..

Acetone.

Nail polish remover usually has enough to work, though it generally also contains things that will need to be cleaned off the model and make it smell funky. (no, manufacturers, fresh breezes do not small like a cross between s chemical plant and a cheap air freshener)

Seriously, that was just me being silly.

Here is a Black Knight and a "Starhost Veteran on Raptor" from One-Page Rules (citing the source as it's a premium model).

Got to say I'm not impressed with "pre-engineered supports." I've printed two models with them and both have failed because there weren't enough supports.

I used the pre-engineered support model for the 2nd printing of the Starhost (seen above) but added several supports to his gun (it didn't print properly the first time) and it worked after I fixed it.

Printing my Ork's new Bloodbowl Manager again, after adding supports to his right leg. (And that's I'm printing a figure for my Ork. Not my Ork Team--I have an Ork. Everyone should have an Ork. My Ork bought me the wash/cure station I'm using.)

I printed this figure for my Ork's Bloodbowl team.

It's "Boogers Slaver" by Ghamak. He makes a good Bloodbowl coach.

Some more 'Mechs and an Imperial Cutter. For BattleTech scale, the cutter should be about twice as large (about 6.5 inches long)--roughly three times the size of a Leopard Dropship.

So, my Ork asked me to print him some new line men for his Human Bloodbowl team. I asked what he wanted and he sent me . . ..

Enthusiastically Athletic Fabstodes!

(3d Printing is time-consuming, but relatively easy. Get thee a 3d printer!)
