[DF] Cleric Spell Lists - Where at?
Aside from DF 1 and 7 that is.
Specifically I'm pretty sure there's at least one in a Pyramid, but I can't seem to find it right now (and I figure asking in here is faster than going through them all over again). Also I'm interested in any fan-made ones that people think are pretty good. |

Re: [DF] Cleric Spell Lists - Where at?
Thanks guys!
Okay then I'm all set to start figuring out what spells have to be in every Clerical spell list... [EDIT] upon review I think I'm going to ignore the Elder Gods Clerical list... it deviates too strongly from the standard lists to be of use. Or maybe I will use it, but keep two sets of values, "standard lists only" and "with the weird one included". Not sure. [/EDIT] Last edited by evileeyore; 08-07-2017 at 07:24 PM. |

"Reasonably Nice" and "Not Nice At All"... which I'll just classify as Good and Evil for now. |

I think the Unholy cleric list is in DF 3.

Re: [DF] Cleric Spell Lists - Where at?
Yeah, I got everything out of the base DF line. It was just the Pyramids that I was tired of wading through and knew that someone out here in the forums would know which ones had the other spell lists.
Side note: I'm trying to decide if I should include the Shaman spell list in my calculations. As with the Elder list, it's really going to throw some numbers off... but mostly just in the "roughly how many spells should each PI level have" category, rather than the "These Are Must Use Spells" category. |

Re: [DF] Cleric Spell Lists - Where at?
What Eric said. Despite their use of Power Investiture, shamans are not clerics. The shaman has an intentionally slim spell list to balance out the significant edge of being able to purchase any type of spirit as an Ally, Contact Group, or Patron. Unlike any of the other summoners, a shaman could have an elemental bodyguard, a ghost scout, a demonic adviser, and a network of local spirit contacts. That's their primary focus, with powers and spellcasting behind it.

Good (aka Reasonably Nice), Neutral (aka Decent Blokes), and Evil (aka Not Nice At All). Good lists have a focus that is healing and buffing, largely defensive style seeming. Neutral is like Good, but with a larger pool of attack "style" spells. Evil focuses more on 'debuffs' and attacking spells and has no (to almost no*) healing or buffing spells. * Don't have time to check my notes and most of my work so far has been done after work when I'm bone tired (so slow and probably full of errors). I might have to look further afield at the way the other Summoners are built and possibly at how some alt Wizards in non-DF primary sources are formed (though I'm not coming up with any that work in this fashion - short list, lots of primary non-skills-as-spell 'powers' and abilities) |
