I'd argue that their misuse can be ethically questionable.

One thing they actually are kind of useful for is extending random tables. If you have like 16 items and you want 18, you can put in your sixteen and ask it for more items (it's best to request more than you need, so you can trim).

My favorite use so far has been for generating names. I make crappy names. So does the AI, but it can make 20 of them in 20 seconds and then I can pick the one like dislike the least.

For the two examples shown, in the first, the AI added a bunch of new stuff. In the 2nd, it mostly just restated the prompt with more words.

Depending on what stuff was used to train it, an AI could be useful for a GM with writers block if game day is tomorrow.
