Have you taken a look at the article "The Fifth Attribute"? It's in the last issue of Pyramid IIRC (away from computer ATM). Might make a good addition.

Yeah, you know, if I'd seen that article a year ago I might have done something different instead of using the Will as the base of what is essentially a second FP pool with Extra Effort for mental and social purposes.

It might be useful if, instead of Will running magic, I created a combined stat that is informed by WP, FP and HP... but I'm not sure, I'll have to think about that. What I do know is that I want magic to be based on the 'divine soul' of the character, and that I want it to be versatile, yet also be self-limiting.

I see a WP (or FP, or other) cost, as well as the 'pool' of levels of Modular Abilities being part of that self-limiting, while other limits will be placed based on the Focus-Limiting Correspondences.
