Default Fairy Dust and Waiting for Santa

I saw on another thread the announcement that the stocks were finished. Will there be a future re-printing, or should I start hunting around shops and eBay?

I'm rather sad, I was only introduced to Munchkin last month, and I had Fairy Dust on my list to buy after payday... :'(

When Andrew said that, he meant that the Steve Jackson Games warehouse was out of stock. But given that they went out of print recently, there are still many copies available for purchase from retailers. For instance, the Fairy Dust booster is in-stock at Time Well Spent Games.

It's been previously mentioned that they might come back at some stage, but not for a very long time. There should still be plenty at your FLGS, Amazon and other retailers as they only just went out of stock.

Yeah - Two weeks ago, I placed an order for both. I received WFS, but got an e-mail that Fairy Dust was OoS (it was still available at the time I went to order it, so their inventory must have been right on the tipping point) - so this is really, really recent. I've since seen both WFS and FD in FL-ishGS's (now that I've located them) and, before that, was easily able to find a pack of Fairy Dust via Amazon for a reasonable price.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, what I meant was that we're terminating the exchange program because *we* don't have any more copies, not that there are no more copies available for sale anywhere.

With the variety of boosters currently available, I think it's very unlikely that any boosters will be reprinted as they go out of stock. It's more fun for us to create new ones. Plus, the quantity required is high enough that second printings don't make much economic sense.

And knowing that is what is going to keep me buying boosters for sets I don't have, "just in case" I get them later. Like I did with the Spaceships booster. And likely will do with Mars Attacks (unless I actually DO get Apocalypse before that comes out).

When it comes to boosters, better safe than sorry I say. :-)

The only booster I'd skip would be one for a set I'm CERTAIN I'll never get, like Zombies, or Cthulhu.

Incidentally, just for planning purposes: we're using a print quantity that we expect will translate to a two- to three-year supply. Based on our tracking, this is pretty close to accurate.

So I can waffle for a WHILE before caving in and buying them, but just not indefinitely... ;-)

To aid in your planning: We're out of Marked for Death and very nearly out (and may BE out by now) of Monster Enhancers, Reloaded, and Munchkinomicon.
