Blue Coin Question
Just 2 quick questions about the special Blue Coin from Game Trade Magazine.
The rule on the website says you can use it to buy back one card from any discard pile (except dungeons) and put it in your hand. 1. The word 'back' indicates the card needs to be one you played. Is this true, or can you choose any discarded card? 2. Can you choose cards from the discard piles for Fairy Dust and the Munchkinomicon? I know the rule says "any" discard pile, but I sorta feel the spirit of the rule is Doors and Treasures only. Official rulings from the great munchkiny deities would be much appreciated! |

Re: Blue Coin Question
Any card that has been discarded, not just those that you have discarded on your own. The word "back" is superfluous, since all cards from the discards are technically out of play and out of bounds and must be brought back into the play area.
The rarity of the coin might allow going through Munchkinomicon discards (since those discards may be reshuffled), but the Fairy Dust discards are completely out of the game (as per that booster's rules), so you may not use any dumpster diving ability to look through that discard pile. Re: Blue Coin Question
Ah, many thanks for the reply. And for telling me something I didn't know about the Fairy Dust cards. Must not have read the rules for those carefully enough.
