Modelling very focused Kleptomania variant
I have a new player joining a Dungeon Fantasy-ish game already in progress. The character is a gnome thief/artificer type and the player's conception of the character is that she is fascinated by clockwork and mechanical devices and wants to liberate those she has not previously encountered to study their workings but then return them after she has learned what she can from examining them.
My initial thought was Kleptomania but on further reflection, it is not a perfect fit: both because it is a specific, somewhat narrow category of item and because there is a good faith intention to return the thing unharmed after a short time. The first part makes it seem similar to but maybe a bit broader than the Extremely Limited Disadvantage version of Kleptomania in Power-Ups 6: Quirks, and I am really not sure how to model the second bit. Essentially, this strikes me as being worth less than -15 points of full on Kleptomania but worth more than a quirk. Any suggestions? |
