Out to Lunch card
Hi, new to munchkin here. I recently completed my second game. My friends and I recently got into an argument over the "Out to Lunch" card. It reads The monster in this room is on break. Play this card during any combat. The player facing the monter(s) discards them all and draws two Treasure cards immediately."
What does "them all" mean. Does it mean all the monster cards in the hand? Does it mean all the cards in play? Does it mean all cards in play AND in the hand? A little insight from an experienced player would me much appreciated. Thank you for your help. |

Re: Out to Lunch card
It means all them monsters. If you are facing more than one monster, they are all discarded and you get no level. No matter what the ammount of treasure you would gain, you now get two Treasure cards.

Re: Out to Lunch card
It means all the monsters in the fight. Cards in your hand stay in your hand.

Re: Out to Lunch card
The card states, "The player facing the monster(s)...". Who is "the player facing the monster"? Does that mean the player whose turn it is, or any player who helps another player fight a monster?
Here's an example of a recent game. A friend asked for help to defeat a monster. I decided to help. A second friend also decided to help. That second friend played a card "Instant Wall" which my two friends used to run away. This left me alone to defeat the monster. I then played "Out to Lunch" to discard the monster and collect 2 treasures. Was this legal for me to do, or was I not "the player facing the monster"? Thanks! |

Re: Out to Lunch card
Only one extra player can help, not two.
Both players run away at the same time, when the player whose turn it is decides to run away. There would not be anyone left to fight the monsters. If the players did not run away, the person "facing the monster" is the one whose turn it is. That person would be drawing the treasures if Out to Lunch is played. |

Now, if you are helping somebody in combat (or even if you AREN'T in the combat at all), you CAN play "Out to Lunch" to make the monster(s) they are fighting leave, BUT the person whose combat it is will get the treasure, not the person playing the card. EDIT: Once again, my slow typing skills make me redundant. |
