Factory States
I just finished a political map of the North American factory states and would like to know if there's somewhere around here I can post it. It's a high-def PDF file (big map, print quality). Currently 17MB but I might be able to cut it down with a little tweaking. Any takers?

Re: Factory States
It's ready now. I have three versions - hi-res PDF (the best), hi-res JPG (Middling, but passable) and lo-res JPG (smallest file but some parts are illegible).
Someone PM me and I'll send it to the appropriate place. P, I think I just emailed the dman thing to you last time. Or did I upload to an FTP? I don't recall. But whatever. --AK |

Re: Factory States
Your 18MB attachment came thru just fine, to my surprise. I'll get it up on a page shortly. I'm going to have to find and load Frontpage...

Re: Factory States
To call it sunning would be an understatement...
Now we need a little more history to go along with it, as I am intrigued by "The Crater Lake Incident of 2164."

Re: Factory States
Nice map, AK. The history you've hinted at sounds interesting, too.
I think 2352 might be a little too far in the future, though. That would mean the Factory States era lasts for at least 250 years, which doesn't seem all that likely given the volatile nature of events in the world of Ogre. The only other quibble I might make is the regularity of the borders, many of which follow present-day State borders. I suppose that's possible… but it seems a bit unlikely. {EDIT: Incidentally, if you use the 'Reduce File Size' option in Acrobat, and make it compatible with 8.0, it'll take that file down to only 9.39 MB instead 17.81 MB, with no visible loss of quality at all.} Last edited by FireHorse; 04-16-2008 at 03:11 PM. |
