Yeah, 25 years at one job is nothing to sneeze at. That's a damn fine streak.

If it means anything, you in particular and GURPS in general has altered my life in a big way. I don't mean the playing of it (though that too), but the writing and designing for. Writing allowed me to purchase insulin when I needed it and keeps food on my table now. There were some dark parts of that in the last nine years...but overall I came through and that was because you (and Steven) okayed my projects and let me be creative.

So if you ever think that you've lived a life that is not as grand as others you touched at least one life bettering it just by dint of you being you. :-)

25 years
Hmm, that would be a set of silver dice.

Happy Anniversary.

Thanks! There are moments when i-dotting, t-crossing, word-line-and-paragraph editing becomes tedious, or when the words of people who think I'm the worst thing to happen to GURPS get depressing, but the writers who get work because of my efforts and the gamers who have fun with the results make it all worthwhile for me.

Thanks! I've never seen actual silver dice. I do have big stone ones here, but I think they're meant to be paperweights. :)

Congratulations on 25 years!

I think that would almost be when I first fell in love with GURPS. Mid 90s, I was reading the Riverworld book series, and I was at my friend's house going through his RPG library, and he had GURPS Riverworld. I was hooked instantly.

I'm at 30 years myself, which I guess means I've seen Sean's entire run at SJG. (It was GURPS Space that hooked me c. 1989.) Fine job, sir!
