Default Damage with bare hands, etc

Another rule clarification:

On Advanced Melee, p22 it give a chart for Bare Hand damage at a given ST. At various places in the rules it states:

Those with Unarmed Combat I do Bare Hands damage +1
UC II ... +2
Dagger, UC III, Cestus, One handed Club ... +3
Two handed Club ... +4

Which means that at ST 24:
Bare Hands: 1+2
UC I ... 1+3
UC II ... 1+4
Dagger, etc ... 1+5
and Two Handed Club 1+6

Similarly a Giant with ST 50 with a two handed club would do 4+5

My question is should these "round up" so the a ST24 UC II would go from 1+4 to 2 dice damage? and UCIII from 1+5 to 2+1 damage, etc ?

I don't know if there is an official ruling, but I always round +4 to 1 die.

I've pretty much always done the same (unless there's some overriding reason not to I suppose, though offhand I can't think of such a reason).

For weapon damage, 3 points equals 1 die. The weapon damage progression goes like this:


1 . . . . (ST 9, Rapier)
1+1 / 2-2 (ST 10, hammer, cutlass)
1+2 / 2-1 (ST 11, small ax, short sword, mace)
2 . . . . (ST 12, broadsword)
2+1 / 3-2 (ST 13, morning star, bastard sword)
2+2 / 3-1 (ST 14, great hammer, two-handed sword)
3 . . . . (ST 15, battle axe,
