Default Wandering Monster

Played my first couple of games of MQ last weekend, and really enjoyed it.*

I used a "Wandering Monster" card in a way that may have been incorrect, but I wanted to see what the hive mind thought.

It was my turn. I was in an explored room and had all my movement left. There was a defeatable monster in an adjacent room (passageway connecting). I used Wandering Monster to pull the monster to my room and begin a combat.

I'm thinking this may not have been kosher because I wasn't "in combat" when I played the card and the wording, as I recall, said something about adding a monster to a combat (I don't own MQ yet to look at the exact wording).

So, Kosher or no?

*I still think that all of the munchkin games would benefit from mechanics that rewarded early cooperation, but I'll keep on "socially engineering" such cooperation in the games I play.

Nope, as I understand it, the Wandering Monster card can only add another monster to the combat that is already happening.

Happy Questing!
