Running away
Can you run away if you could defeat the monster? A curse made this action desirable.
If you fail to run away. and the monster's combat strength is less than yours, do you defeat it, or do you suffer it's bad stuff? Finally, if you fail to run away, is it too late to get help to defeat the monster? |

Re: Running away
Running Away is an option only if you can't beat the Monster(s). If you can't beat the Monsters, you're given two options: Run Away, or ask for help. If you and your helper still can't defeat the Monsters, then you must both Run Away. In other words, you can't choose to Run Away when you're winning the combat. If you're Running Away, it means you've given up and actually lost the combat, therefore you can't ask someone to help you now that you've chosen one of the two options provided to you.
Failing to Run Away from a Monster means you suffer its Bad Stuff; no other option is provided in the rules, so it doesn't matter what the Monster's combat strength happens to be in comparison to yours. The short version of all that: Succeed in the roll for that Monster, no Bad Stuff; fail, you get Bad Stuff. |
